History of Microsoft AX:


Microsoft AX, also known as Microsoft Dynamics AX, was prepared by Microsoft to assist businessmen in their work. It has an easy to understand interface which helps users in easy usage and accessibility. It was originally developed by IBM and Danish Damgaard Data. It was initially known as IBM Axapta. This was released in March 1998. In the year 2000, after the version 1.5 of this software was released, IBM returned rights of the product. At this time, Damgaard Data was merged with Navision Software A/S. The new company started being known as NavisionDamgaard and afterwards, Navision A/S. This company was then acquired by Microsoft in July 2002. Finally, Microsoft AX was announced in September 2011, having features similar to IBM Axapta. Microsoft keeps on releasing new versions every year. It is now available in 25 countries and supports 23 languages.
